以COI序列重建鳥穀蛾的分子親緣關係發現一個華南到泰北產新種, M. monacha也被確認為M. monachella的次同物異名

Abstract The Monopis monachella species complex from China is revised, and its relationship to other species complexes of the genus Monopis is discussed with reference to morphological, and molecular evidence. Principal component analysis on all available specimens provided supporting evidence for the existence of three species, one of which is described as new: Monopis iunctio Huang & Hirowatari sp. nov. All species are either diagnosed or described, and illustrated, and information is given on their distribution and host range. Additional information is given on the biology and larval stages of Monopis longella. A preliminary phylogenetic study based on mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene (CO1) sequence data and a key to the species of the M. monachella species complex in China is presented. The types of the new species have been deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Hunan Agricultural University, China and Entomological Laboratory, Osaka Prefecture University, Japan.

中國廣東產蕈蛾科隱斑穀蛾屬之新種

Abstract
Species of the genus Crypsithyris Meyrick, 1907 in Guangdong Province, South China are reviewed. Crypsithyris nanlingensis Huang, Hirowatari & Wang, sp. nov., is described and illustrated, and C. sp. and C. japonica Petersen & Gaedike, 1993, which are new records for China, also are described and illustrated. Biological notes for C. japonica and C. sp. are provided, and a key to the Crypsithyris of South China is presented.

Abstract
Morphological characters of the conspicuous tineid species Coryptilum retilellum (Walker, 1869) are described. The wing venation and male and female genitalia of the species are illustrated and described for the first time. Although the phylogenetic position of the genus Coryptilum Zeller, 1839 has not been established, it is inferred to be monophyletic with Tineovertex Moriuti, 1982 and Ischnuridia Sauber, 1902 based on male and female genital morphology. Distributional data of the species are also presented. The genus Coryptilum (C. retilellum) is recorded from South China for the first time.

簡介
太宇穀蛾屬(Gerontha)為穀蛾科中前翅延長且其上著生有非平行翅面的叢生鱗片,以及後足向後延伸並交疊等特徵的分類群(參考澳洲產物種標本之網路影像)。全世界已知23種主要分布於東方區與 舊北區系。本文檢討中國地區產穀蛾科太宇穀蛾屬分類群,共紀錄10物種,含4新種、3新紀錄種以及兩種之雌蟲首次描述。此屬台灣目前僅紀錄一種G. dracuncula Meyrick, 1928,並亦分佈於中國雲南。

Abstract
Ten species of the genus Gerontha Walker are reviewed from China. Among them, four species are described as new ( G. similihoenei sp. nov. , G. rostriformis sp. nov., G. trapezia sp. nov., and G. rugulosa sp. nov.), and three species are newly recorded for China (G. siamensis Moriuti, G. navapuriensis Moriuti and G. borea Moriuti) . The females of G. flexura Huang, Hirowatari & Wang and G. siamensis Moriuti are reported for the first time . A key to all the known Chinese species is given.

中國產尾小捲蛾屬之分類檢討與新種描述

這篇文章事實上以中國大陸產種類為分類檢討的對象, 不過其中亦包含了分布於台灣的五個種, 如S. bryana (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875), S. plinthograpta (Meyrick, 1931), S. plumboviridis Diakonoff, 1973, S. rubescens Diakonoff, 1973, 以及S. semiculta (Meyrick, 1909).

Abstract The genus Sorolopha Lower from the Chinese Mainland is reviewed. Seventeen species are recognized, including two new species, S. dactyloidea sp. n. and S. identaeolochloca sp. n., and five species previously unrecorded from China, S. asphaeropa Diakonoff, 1973, S. ferruginosa Kawabe, 1989, S. karsholti Kawabe, 1989, S. liochlora (Meyrick, 1914), and S. stygiaula (Meyrick, 1933). Also, the female of S. ferruginosa is reported for the first time with a brief description and illustration. Sorolopha longurus Liu & Bai, 1982 (syn. n.) and S. micheliacola Liu, 2001 (syn. n.) are proposed as new synonyms of S. camarotis (Meyrick, 1936), and S. chlorotica Liu & Bai, 1985 (syn. n.) as a new synonym of S. rubescens Diakonoff, 1973. Photographs of adults and genitalia of the new species are provided. A key to the species from the Chinese Mainland is given based on the male genitalia.

Abstract
This paper is an account of the species of Edosa (Perissomasticinae) inhabiting Sundaland, the area of South-East Asia that comprises the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, Bali, Borneo, Palawan and Balabac. Edosa is highly diverse; its members are mostly small to medium-sized brown moths with a characteristic resting posture. They run rapidly with a lurching, scuttling gait, and are commonly encountered in light-collecting throughout the region, but their biology is otherwise unknown. The genus is redefined and its previous taxonomic history and its biological and morphological characteristics are reviewed. Fifty-two species are described, illustrated and keyed; 45 species are new, and one of the seven previously known species, Edosa trita Meyrick, is treated as incertae sedis. The impossibility of associating male and female of the same species (except in a few instances) has necessitated a taxonomy based upon males; females are only described formally where they can be confidently identified, and that applies to very few species. The genitalia of a few tentatively identified females are illustrated also to give some idea of morphological variation. A phylogenetic analysis including representatives of all perissomasticine genera indicates that Neoepiscardia, Cylicobathra and Phalloscardia are groups subordinate within a monophyletic Edosa with which they are here synonymised. Edosa is diagnosed by the male and female genital structure: in the male the uncus has a broad, shouldered base and the bulbus ejaculatorius has a sharp bend at about one-half its length, with the distal region abruptly differentiated into a ‘cup’ which is reflexed caudally back onto the preceding length of the bulbus; females have a complex colliculum consisting of transverse or oblique rings or flanges which are invaginated in many species to form an elongate digitate internal process or pair of processes. It is suggested that, with some 250 species recognised of which 160 are described, Edosa is the most species-rich genus of the Tineidae.

蕈蛾科Tineovertex屬之生物學記要

剛在2008年於大阪府立大學拿到博士學位的黃國華, 原為華南農大的學生, 他的博士論文題目為華南地區蕈蛾科的系統分類. 這個部份算是填補了蕈蛾科在亞洲分類人才的缺乏. 他與小林茂樹以及広渡俊哉於2008年於Zootaxa發表了Tineovertex屬的系統分類研究, 然後另外發表了這篇Tineovertex屬的生物學觀察. 文中指出這個屬的蕈蛾雌蟲將卵產於烏毛蕨(Blechnum nipponicum)的葉背, 初齡幼蟲取食葉片, 然後在落到地面以落葉造可攜式的巢. 而根據Gadon Robinson的資訊, 這樣的行為亦出現於蕈蛾科的其它類群, 因此極有可能具有獨立的演化起源. Tineovertext melanochrysa亦分布於台灣, 但可資認證的標本極少.
